NLTRA Seeks Members for a New TOT Advisory Committee

The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association (NLTRA) recently transitioned from being funded by Transient Occupancy Tax dollars (TOT), to being funded by a self-assessed Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID).  The TOT funds that previously funded the NLTRA have been freed up to be redistributed back into the community through housing and transportation-oriented projects recommended by the TOT committee.

The TOT committee will focus on identifying affordable housing, transportation and infrastructure programs and projects in eastern Placer County. This committee will include representation, and seek appointments from, transportation and workforce housing organizations, as well as representatives with expertise in transportation and workforce housing, and those who are advocates for transportation and workforce housing.

The meeting schedule and frequency has not yet been determined. In the past, similar committee meetings have taken place once a month, and run for approximately 2-3 hours.

Community members are invited to express their interest in committee participation by completing this form by 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 26* to be considered. Applicants will be notified in advance of the May 4, 2022 NLTRA Board of Directors meeting if they have been recommended for a seat.

*UPDATE: The application window has been extended to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
