Covid-19 Community Updates

The North Lake Tahoe destination is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak with guidance from public health and government officials, along with tourism-industry partners to ensure the most accurate and timely information is provided.

Tourism Development

For more than 65 years, the Tahoe North Lake Resort Association/Chamber of Commerce (NLTRA) has been the destination marketing organization for eastern Placer County and the greater North Lake Tahoe region, representing over $650 million.

Tourism is the region’s main source of income; to support and stimulate year-round visitation, the NLTRA oversees and implements a comprehensive marketing, communications and special events program.

Through a central theme of promoting the North Lake Tahoe region as a diverse, exciting four-season destination, tourism goals include increasing overnight visitation, and visits to restaurants, retail and recreational activities during mid-week and non-peak timeframes.

Implementation of the tourism master plan increases tourism, economic vitality, and community stability for the North Lake Tahoe business community.
