The North Lake Tahoe destination is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak with guidance from public health and government officials, along with tourism-industry partners to ensure the most accurate and timely information is provided.

The GoTahoeNorth website has tools and resources for incoming guests to help access the destination safely. Both California and Nevada continue to move through phases of a gradual and thoughtful reopening process however both states have recently seen a rise in cases prompting Governors Newsom (CA) and Sisolak (NV) to implemented stricter regulations in an effort slow the spread of COVID-19 and get the current surges under control. Both Governors are urging people to stay home, to follow guidelines, wear masks, limit mixing, practice physical distancing, and to wash hands frequently.

The coronavirus pandemic has devastated California’s tourism industry, erasing 10 consecutive years of growth. However, tourism is one of the most resilient economic sectors. Unlike any other industry, tourism uniquely touches every community across the state — from California’s biggest gateways to its most tucked-away locales.
