Covid-19 Community Updates

The North Lake Tahoe destination is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak with guidance from public health and government officials, along with tourism-industry partners to ensure the most accurate and timely information is provided.

Public Health Resources

If you are experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or are concerned about your symptoms, Tahoe Forest Health System has COVID-19 protocol-trained nurses available to answer your questions on the COVID-19 Hotline, (530) 582-3450, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm every day.

Based on answers to the COVID-19 screening questions, nurses will redirect all patients to the right patient care location within the healthcare system.  TFHS is very focused on keeping all applicable patients out of physician offices, emergency departments, and the hospital to lower infection control risks.  Of course, the emergency department is open 24/7 for life threatening emergencies.

TFHS has also created a drive-through clinic on the Tahoe Forest Hospital campus that is referral-only, and patients may be directed to it for testing if it’s needed.  Nurses will describe that location to patients should it be the best fit for a patient’s condition.
