North Tahoe businesses who are assessed as part of the Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) are automatically given membership status in the North Tahoe Chamber.
TBID revenues are being used for responsible travel and stewardship education, including efforts to offset tourism impacts, bolster a year-round economy, and support local businesses. The funds are managed by the NTCA with oversight from the NTCA Board of Directors and corresponding committees made up of representatives from assessed businesses. Funds must be spent on programs and activities that directly benefit the businesses paying the assessment.
