Business Recovery Resources

03.16.20

North Lake Tahoe is monitoring the present situation and responding in real-time to the concerns of our constituents and partners. We are diligently working to aid in the long-term recovery of businesses in the wake of COVID-19’s impact.

The Placer Business Resource Center in conjunction with Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has committed to helping small businesses by providing business counselors (available remotely) to offer expert advice on adjusting cash flow, updating marketing plans and accessing emergency funds to keep your business financially solvent during this critical period.

The Small Business Administration just released guidelines for Disaster Assistance Loans related to COVID-19. Effective immediately, business owners can apply online in the Disaster Loan Application Portal at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/. SBDC advisors can assist in preparing a complete application package, as the more complete the application is, the faster the process will be. In some instances, businesses will not qualify for disaster funding and SBDC advisors will look for other access to capital options.

SBDC will be releasing webinars this week to cover both disaster funding basics and cash flow management, as well as updating their website with info as it becomes available: https://www.sierrasbdc.com/about-us/news/covid-19-business-resources.
