Governor Gavin Newsom issued a stay at home order to protect the health and well-being of all Californians and to establish consistency across the state in order to slow the spread of COVID-19.
"These are difficult conversations, but we must have them. This is not a permanent state, this is a moment in time,” Governor Newsom said. “We will look back at these decisions as pivotal… now is a time to go full force and meet this virus head on.”
